To help mark wellbeing month the trust are asking you to hold an event that supports mental or physical wellbeing.
During wellbeing month there will be activities led by the Trust, throughout the areas of Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. The aim is to get people who their services, o members, staff and the general public involved in activities and events that boost wellbeing. The Trust will be holding a few events but hope that services and organisations in our local communities will join them by hosting their own events.
Several residents have contacted me as they have received letters telling them that their Council Tax is incorrect.
This might very easily worry a great many people and I would like to suggest that these letters are probably wrong.
If you do have doubts there is a perfectly good way of finding out and that is by ringing the Valuation Office on 0845 602 1507 – this call is free
If however, you wish to take up the services of one of these companies, there are at least two going around at the moment, you are of course perfectly at liberty to do so. But be warned, if there is a re-evualation in your favour the company will want payment for their work. If you ring the number above and you are owed a rebate, this will be paid to you – and no cost will be incurred – it is a free service.

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone in the Lindley Ward who voted for me in the recent local council elections.I received a great deal of support and good wishes from people for which I am extremely grateful and I give a special thank you to those who delivered leaflets, displayed posters and helped canvass.
I feel privileged to have been elected to serve on the council and I will continue to put in the hard work needed to campaign on local issues and work for everyone who lives in the Lindley Ward.
