COUNCIL TAX BANDING LETTERS

Several residents have contacted me as they have received letters telling them that their Council Tax is incorrect.

This might very easily worry a great many people and I would like to suggest that these letters are probably wrong.

If you do have doubts there is a perfectly good way of finding out and that is by ringing the Valuation Office on 0845 602 1507 – this call is free

If however, you wish to take up the services of one of these companies, there are at least two going around at the moment, you are of course perfectly at liberty to do so.  But be warned, if there is a re-evualation in your favour the company will want payment for their work.  If you ring the number above and you are owed a rebate, this will be paid to you – and no cost will be incurred – it is a free service.
