Cllr Cahal Burke -Campaigning to save Library Meeting
I was delighted with the turnout for the Lindley Library meeting, 137 attended on the night. I organised the meeting to give residents all the information they need about the proposals for the future.
The consultation will be the next way we can all get involved and have our say, I will also be arranging further meetings in the future.
To secure the future of the Library we will need support from the community to volunteer and form a ‘Friends Of Lindley Library’ group.
Out of the 137 in attendance 43 offered to be more involved and volunteer in the future.

I am very anxious to save Lindley Library to this end I am starting a Book Group on Monday 27thApril 2pm with the kind co-operation of the Staff.
As Group Leader for the Tuesday Readers’ Book Group in Town & at Chestnut Centre we are aware of the consultation process & I have attended a meeting re the above.
I would be pleased if you could keep me informed re future meetings etc.
