Residents living in Lindley Ward celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee with an afternoon of events and activities on Saturday 9th June at Reinwood Playing Fields.
The event was organised by Malham Court Action Group and opened by local Councillor Cahal Burke. Reinwood Infant and Junior School also leant a helping hand to organisers.
On the day crowds were entertained by singers, DJ’s and musicians and were able to take part in a variety of activities including face painting, kite making and story telling.
Councillor Cahal Burke (Lib Dem) said:
“It was a real pleasure to be asked to open the event in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee. It was an excellent event with lots going on for all ages. The people from Malham Court Action Group did a really good job of setting everything up; any plaudits must certainly go to them for their hard work.”
